Abstract
The family medicine has been introduced in Korea since 1978.
Since then, a number of studies of Knowledge, Attitude and Practice family medicine has been performed according to different samples, and made a lot of base line data on family medicine in Korea.
However, there has been no follow-up study of Knowledge, Attitude and Practice family medicine, sample was taken from Kwang-Ju branch of Severance Hospital, and the following results were obtained.
1. Total number of samples were 320. Among them male population was 119(37.2%) and female population was 201(62.8%)
2. The rate of respondents who have ever heard about family medicine was increased from 31.5% to 60.0% than five years ago.
3. The rate of respondents who thought that family medicine is necessary for the Korea medical care was increased from 45.7% to 71.6%.
4. The rate of respondents who will register to family physician for their medical care was increased from 34.8% to 70.0%.
