가정의학 전공과정 수료자의 현황 및 수련과정 평가에 대한 조사 (Graduate Follow-up in the Family Practice Rdmidency Progrns)

Abstract
Between 1979 and 1988, 139 family physicians had completed residency training in family practice residencies in Korea. The primary purpose of this study was to measure the adequacy of the residency training program through the follow-up of graduates.
Eighty nine(70.1%) of the graduates except immigrants and unidentified graduates responded to the survey. Of the 139 graduates, 41(29.5%) are in private practice and 44(31.7%) are employed in general hospital etc.
In evaluation of preparation for practice, the graduates were asked to select responses of underprepared, adequately prepared, or overprepared for 61 subject areas involving medical and surgical specialties, pratice management, and family and community medicine issues. The deficiency areas were spotrs medicine(94.4%), occupational medicine(89.9%), school medicine(89.9%), plastic surgery(87.6%), geriatric medicine(84.3%). The adequately prepared areas were gastroenterology(89.9%), infection(86.5%), use of common dregs(85.4%), acute childhood illness(84.3%).
