The results are follows.
1. The number of male patients was 97, and that of female patients was 9. The mean age range was from 30 to 70years of age.
2. The number of newly discovered hypertensive patients was 30, and the number of the patients with previous hypertension history was 76. The number of people who were underweight, normal, body weight overweight, and obese were 1(0.9%), 45(42.5%), 40(37.7%), 20(18.9%) respectively.
3. 43% of the newly identified hypertensive persons and 49% of the patient with previous hypertension history did not visit physicians for follow-up care. And there was no significant difference statistically between these two groups.
4. 50% of the newly discovered hypertensives and 22% of the persons with previous hypertension history reduced their consumption of dietary salt in their daily food intake.
5. 53% of the newly identified hypertensives and 29% of the persons with previous hypertension history reduced their daily dietary fat intake.

7. 39% of the newly identified hypertensives and 14% of the patients with previous hypertension history who were overweight and obese, did not recognized the necessity of weight reduction.
8. After screening for hypertension, 73% of the newly discovered hypertensives ded not use antihypertensive medication, 10% took irregulary and only 17% took them regulary.
9. In the persons with previous hypertension history, 63% did not use medicatieons, 17% took irregulary, and only 20% took regulary.
10. Before being screened for hypertension, 70% of persons with previous hypertension history did not use antihypertensive medication, 22% used irregulary, and only 8% used regulary. And these percentages were statistically different from the values after the screening. The results indicate that the screening test for hypertension contribute to discovering patients with unknown hypertension and to changes of health behavior and use of medical utility to some degree, but were not satifactory in overall hypertension control.
