가족적응력 , 결속력 평가척도 ( FACES 3 ) 의 신뢰도 및 타당도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Reliability and Validity of FACES 3)

Abstract

The Systems Theory-a family is more than the sum total of family members, is related with one another interdependently, and accomplishes family system's homeostasis through dynamic interaction-has made a great contribution to understanding a family. Evaluating family functioning, Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scales(FACESⅢ) has been developed on the theoretical basis of the Systems Theory and the Circomplex Model.
Data was collected from 139 families (a couple and an adolescent) through the questionnare method based on FACESⅢ, FS developed by Olson et al, Moos'FES and Socio-demographic sheet. The sample families were selected randomly from the students of a university and two high schools in Seoul. About three months(from June to August, 89) was spent collecting the data. The results processed by SPSS were as follows :
1. The Cronbach Alpha coefficients was. 0.68 for adaptability and. 0.66 for cohesion. In family satisfaction. 0.76 for adaptability and 0.70 for cohesion. For the construct validity, correlation coefficients between Adaptability and Cohesion scales was. 0.21(a family). correlation coefficients of Items with Scale was. 0.39-0.59(a family) for adaptability. and 0.39-0.66(a family) for cohesion. FES deveioped by Moos & Moos(1976) was utilized for the concurrent validity. According to the results of the analysis. adaptability (r=-0.12) had no correlation, and cohesion(r=0.5.2) showed low correlation.
2. On the whole, Extreme Family Types were rare in the normally functioning families(7.6%), but relatively more Extreme Famility Types were fuond in the families with low economic condition(21.1%).
3. It was asertained that FS should be used alonged with FACESⅢ under transcultural point of view for accurate evaluation of family functioning. if family type is extreme.
