Korean Journal of Family Medicine (KJFM) is an open access, peer-reviewed, online-only general medical journal published in English bimonthly on the 20th of odd months (January, March, May, July, September, and November: 6 times per year), which is an official journal of the Korean Academy of Family Medicine. KJFM’s main aim is to provide up-to-date evidence-based medical knowledge and high-quality medical education for family physicians, primary care clinicians, researchers, students, and policy makers. KJFM offers its readership an international view in the primary care, while providing a medium of instruction and exploration. Its regional scope focuses mainly on Korea, but it accepts submissions from researchers all over the world. KJFM mainly publishes original articles, narrative reviews, systematic reviews and meta-analysis, case reports, letters, editorials, and brief communications. They cover a broad range of interests related with the field of family medicine such as clinical management of common primary diseases, health promotion, cancer prevention and early detection, geriatrics, epidemiology, education, medical ethics, health care system, etc., all of which ultimately will assist family physicians in primary care.
