가정의학 모델크리닉 진찰대상 지역선정을 위한 지역사외의 의료실태 조사

Abstract
To survey on the feasibility of the medical care of the SNUH Family Practice Model Clinic which will be open in near future (Sept. 1981), direct interviewing of the randomly selected families from January 15 1981 till February 15 1981. were carried out, in the neighborhood area of SNU. Hospital and the following conclusions were obtained after analysis of 336 selected families.
1. Average sizes of the household were 5.31 persons, which seemed to be slight higher, compared with that of the other Seoul City area.
2. Nearly 72.3% of the population had been living on the same residential area for more than 3 years, which means the population migration rate of this area is much lower than that of other Seoul or nationwide city area.
3. Average monthly income amounts to 300,000 Won in 51.2% of total cases, which seemed to be slight higher than average income of nationwide city residents.
4. Averge annual medical expenditure, were below 10,000 Won in 53.9% of the total cases. This apparently low medical expenditure can be ascribe to the exclusion of the expenditure of the chronic illness care and admission fees.
5. Average monthly morbidity rate was 217.6 persons per 1000 population which approach to the morbidity rate of the nationwide city residents.
6. First contact medical facilities were found to be drug stores in 56.9% of total cases. And the average monthly utilzation rate of the drug stores were 590 persons per 1000 population, that of private clinic, 51.8 persons, University Hospital, 17.8 persons, General Hospital, 10.8 persons and herb medicine clinic, 19 persons.
7. Major complaints among the patients visiting clinics were as follows, long waiting time, cumbersome processing and high medical expenditure etc.
8. The number of persons who have some knowledge about Family Practice were only 23.5% among total cases, and they appraised most, from the view point of the comprehensive and continuous medical care of the Family Practice. 68.5% of total cases want to apply to register in the SNUH Family Practice Clinic, when Clinic opens.
