| Abstract |
Background
: FACES III, the wide world evaluating tool of the family function, was developed by Dr.Olsan. In Korea validity and reliability of FACES III have been proven by the score from father-mother-child triad Because, to date, many studies using the FACES III in korea have been applied to the only one of family members, and have been conducted without proving their validity and reliability, Jong Myon Bae, M.D. et al have been tested validity and reliability of FACES III when applied to the one of family members. But the validity if FACES III applied to the one of family members seemed not to be proven.
If validity and reliability of FACES III will be proven by score from two of family members(patient and care-giver), this method will be used in the practice of the family Medicine. Therefore, it is required to test validity and reliability of FACES III when applied to two of family members.
Methods : This cross-setional study was based on FACES III(this questionnare were translated by Dr. Lim, et al), self-report inventory response of 63 families, 126 subjects, who selected in admitted patients, out-patients, and their care-gives of the department of the Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Orthopedics, Song Nam Central Hospital. And demographic distributions were questioned.
Results : Cronbach's alpha coefficients for internal consistency of reliability were 0.60 for adaptabi-lity, 0.79 for cohesion and 0.62 for total items. The Pearson's corelation coefficient between cohesion and adaptability was 0.484(P<0.01), which did not support the construct validity. However, Corela-tion between total score and the sub-categorical items showed content-related validity except item No.20 of role concept. Correlation coefficiets between family members were 0.535 for adaptability and 0.448 for cohesion. It is statistically significant.
Conclusion : The validity of FACES III applied to two of family members seemed not to be prove., Therefore, it is required that the type of family function should be probably assessed by many numbers of family member. |

연구배경 : 가족기능을 분류하는 도구로서 널리 이용되고 있는 FACES III는 Olson등에 의해 개발되었다. 국내에서 안양회 및 임종한 등의 연구에서 FACES III의 타당도와 신뢰도를 검증 함에 있어서, 가족 3인에 대해 모두 설문응답을 받아서 이를 평균하여 적응력과 결속력의 신로도와 타당도를 규명하였다. 이후의 연구들이 대상가족 1인에 대해서만 설문 응답을 받아 그 가족기능의 유형을 분류하여 분석하고 있기 때문에 배종면 등에 의해 가족구성원 1인을 대상으로한 경우, 가족기능유형을 분리하는 것은 적절하지 않다고 하였다.
만약, 가족구성원 2인 즉, 환자와 보호자 한명에 대해 FACES III를 시행 하였을 때의 신뢰도와 타당도를 알아보고서, 검증결과가 인정된다면 차후의 연구들에 적용할 수 있겠다는 가설 하에 본 연구를 시행하기로 하였다.
방법 : 1995년 6월 1일부터 8월 31일까지 가족용 FACES III 한글 번안 설문서를 성남 중앙병원에 입원 및 외래방문한 가정의학과 및 내과, 그리고 정형외과 환자 및 보호자를 대상으로 하여, 자기기입식 응답을 통하여 단면적 연구를 시행하였다. 설문지는 사회인구학적 특성을 동시에 물어보도록 만들었다.
결과 : 내적 신뢰도를 나타내는 알파값에 의해 신뢰도는 적응력 0.60, 결속력은 0.79, 전체 0.62로 검증되었다. 결속력과 적응력간의 상관계수가 0.484(P<0.01)로 구성적 타당도를 확보할 수 없었다. 총점과 하부항목간의 상관계수에서는 적응력에서 역할 개념을 묻는 20번문항을 제외하고는 상관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 가족구성원간의 상관계수는 적응력 0.535, 결속력 0.448FH 나와서 유의한 상관관계를 보였다.
결론 : 가족구성원 2인을 대상으로 구한 FACES-III의 응답만으로는 적응력과 결속력에 의한 가족기능유형을 분리하는데 적절치 않다고 본다. 따라서 좀 더 많은 수의 가족구성원을 포함하여서 가족기능의 유형을 분리하는 것이 필요하겠다. |
